Many chemical products have to be kept at a particular temperature so that they can be used immediately in the production process once they have been delivered, or simply to ensure that the product’s quality is maintained.
Therefore it could be necessary to pre-heat a tank before loading. For longer journeys where the driver overnights in his vehicle, the product keeps its temperature through heating of the tank at one of the roadside heating stations.
In order to meet the requirement of temperature controlled transport, Vervaeke proposes in first instance tanks with different types of high-quality insulating materials. Also the outlet of these tanks received specific attention by using minimum 200 mm glass wool.
Goods can be heated on site via the mains as well as during transport by means of 400V current being supplied by purpose equipped trucks fitted with a generator. The truck generates electrical power and supplies this directly to the tank.
