Yesterday, our CEO, Frédéric Derumeaux, attended Daimler Truck’s press event in Stuttgart, celebrating one year of successful customer trials with the Mercedes-Benz GenH2 Truck.

Since July 2024, five customers have tested the GenH2 Truck under real-world conditions. VERVAEKE used the truck to transport PVC and vinyl for our customer INEOS Inovyn on dedicated routes within Germany.

Frédéric Derumeaux, CEO of VERVAEKE, shared:

"This trial gives us valuable experience with liquid hydrogen as an alternative fuel. Our drivers quickly grew fond of the GenH2 Truck. It’s a vehicle that delivers on both power and practicality.”

Liquid hydrogen enables a higher payload — a key advantage in long-distance and flexible transport. 

Frédéric Derumeaux concludes: “Thanks to the close collaboration between all parties — including our customer INEOS Inovyn — we achieved high operational performance, demonstrating the viability of fuel cell technology in demanding logistics.
