Yesterday, our CEO, Frédéric Derumeaux, attended Daimler Truck’s press event in Stuttgart, celebrating one year of successful customer trials with the Mercedes-Benz GenH2 Truck.

Since July 2024, five customers have tested the GenH2 Truck under real-world conditions. VERVAEKE used the truck to transport PVC and vinyl for our customer INEOS Inovyn on dedicated routes within Germany.

Frédéric Derumeaux, CEO of VERVAEKE, shared:

"This trial gives us valuable experience with liquid hydrogen as an alternative fuel. Our drivers quickly grew fond of the GenH2 Truck. It’s a vehicle that delivers on both power and practicality.”

Liquid hydrogen enables a higher payload — a key advantage in long-distance and flexible transport.

Frédéric Derumeaux concludes: “Thanks to the close collaboration between all parties — including our customer INEOS Inovyn — we achieved high operational performance, demonstrating the viability of fuel cell technology in demanding logistics. We are proud to contribute to the future of sustainable logistics and to be the first to deliver chemical products with zero emissions."
